Well, well, well.... Looks like I'm up to my old tricks again - starting something new, then getting diverted. Here's my excuse: life at work has been like hell! Since the middle of June, we've been working mandatory overtime to try and get our product released on time. I can say that during this hectic time, I've (1) Completed the Karina sweater and (2) Taught another 6-week knitting class at the community center.
As soon as I get my husband to take a photo of me wearing the new sweater, I'll post it.
I almost forgot: one of my former students and I are going to try and start a knitting club in Apex. Should be better than traveling to NC state once a month for the guild meeting.
Stay tuned, maybe I'll actually write again sooner this time!

Back From the Beach
We had a good time - except for getting sunburned! I got a chance to knit on the drive to and from the beach, but still didn't get finished with the back of my sweater... maybe by the end of the day.

Off to the beach
We've decided to make a quick trip to the beach. Breathing in the ocean breezes and having my toes in the sand will be so relaxing. Hopefully, by the time we get home on Friday, my cold will be gone and my sweater will be at least half done!

Getting Started
Well... Here's my first post. Guess I'll dive right in, and describe my current project. I'm knitting a sweater for myself (for a change) from Berroco book #217: Karina in CottonTwist, #8465 (Blue Ombre).
See http://www.berroco.com/217/217_karina_pv.html for more info.
If I can figure out how to upload a photo, I'll do that soon. I'm about 2/3 of the way through knitting the back. Since I'm on vacation this week, I hope to get the back and front completed before returning to work on 6/13.
I'll sign off now so I can get in some knitting time before the kids wake up.
Happy Knitting!
